Adult Volunteers
So just who are the people who run the 27th Woolston Scout Group??
We are a group of volunteers from all walks of life who support the group in a variety of ways. Some of us run the different sections and are hands-on with actual Scouting and some of us take more of a behind the scenes role- but we all have one goal….to support our members and have a good time whilst we’re doing it!
You don’t need to be Bear Grylls to join us or have been a scout in your younger days, you don’t even need to know how to put a tent up! We welcome everyone regardless of age, race, gender or background. We’re only able to offer Scouting to young people because of people like you, who are willing to come and lend a hand.
Whatever it is you can do, we can put you to good use. Whether your forte is making the tea, driving a minibus, providing first aid or helping with tidying up we would love to hear from you! Maybe you are a student that would like to boost your CV by adding Scouting to it or maybe you are parents of members of the group and want to volunteer so you can spend more time together as a family.
Whatever your skill set and however much time you have to spare, come and join us. We’re certain you’ll get more out of it than you put in. Whether you end up helping run an activity in the local Town Hall, helping organise a night away camping or buttering 120 slices of bread for a group of hungry 11 year olds, no 2 Scout meetings are ever the same. The difference you will make though will always be the same…and that is BRILLIANT!
Sounds like something that could be fun?…it is!
Sounds like something that is worthwhile?…it definitely is!
What have you got to lose?…nothing!
Come and join us and start making memories….we promise you won’t regret it!
Please have a look through our website and, if you like what you see, or think you would like to get involved, then drop us an email or give us a call. We’d love to hear from you.
